refugee tv

Had an interesting but long day at our voluntary meeting today.Nearly completed our filming with most of the asylum seekers today.felt new, just listening to the very stories i have been listening to from almost all of them the past 3 wks.But today behind a camera,in a quiet room with just the talker and a room full of sensitive listeners felt different.Very heartbreaking.iIthink the British medias views on asylum seekers seriously needs to become more lateral.I think the entire issue on asylum seekers and immigrants needs to change and has been looked at in a very tunnel-visioned point of view. These are not your hard-core gangsters or criminals, seeking to hide in some foreign country just waiting to jump over the governments precious millions like a pack of wolves! These are people who have led an extremely troubled life, some even escaping political persecution in their homelands. Some escaping war,and some worse. My question is if the world shuts their doors to these people where are they supposed to go.The united kingdom hands out millions to people or should i say the so called honorable British citizens by birth for not been employed and producing children like hot cakes!,who believe that it is their birth rite to have the government look after them.Isn't that total injustice being committed. Not only is the government adding to its own problems by catering to this breed of lazy people but its preventing new lessons to be passed on to the future generation of this country. After all children only reflect back your own image! Not only is this breed feeding of the governments money like a bunch of hungry blood-sucking parasites but influencing the vulnerable minds of the future generation as well. All i can do for now is hope that my groups attempt doesn't fail and if not 10 but we can at least touch the heart of 1!
